Your Hoboken Evening

You had the tasting menu at Amanda's on Washington Street, in the brownstone dining room where the tin ceiling has been there since 1895 and the candlelight turns everything warm. Your partner kept touching the stem of the wine glass the way she does when she is content. After dinner you walked the length of Washington Street, past the bakery where the cannoli are filled to order and the record shop that still has milk crates of vinyl. The Hoboken waterfront opened in front of you: the full Manhattan skyline reflected in the Hudson, every building lit. You stood at Sinatra Park for a minute. Then you walked to Hoboken Terminal, the 1907 Beaux-Arts station with the copper roof and the Tiffany ceiling nobody looks up at. The PATH took nine minutes to 14th Street. The L took five. You were in Williamsburg before the dessert had settled. Sue's studio was the last thing you expected to find on a residential street: warm, spare, one table, no merchandise. She set out two rings. She told you the story behind each stone. Your partner tried one on. The fit was perfect. The conversation that followed was not about diamonds. It was about the life you are building.

Rings Our Hoboken Clients Love

These are starting points. Every ring is built to order in our studio. Your stone, your metal, your size. Nothing is pulled from a case.

How to Design Your Engagement Ring Near Hoboken

Whether you start online or visit us in person, every ring at Haejin Jewelry is made to order. There is no inventory to browse, no display case to lean over. You design something that exists nowhere else in the world. Here's how it works.

1. Explore

Start with our online Ring Builder to browse settings, shapes, and metals. Or use our Custom 3D Design tool to build something from scratch. You can also skip straight to a consultation if you'd rather talk it through in person.

2. Consult

Walk in or book a private appointment at our Williamsburg studio, 25 minutes from Hoboken. Sue will sit with you, learn what you're drawn to, and guide you through diamonds, metals, and settings at your pace. Most visits are 30 to 45 minutes. No pressure, no upselling. Bring a mood board or bring nothing at all.

3. Create

Once you've chosen your design, we build it. For custom rings, that means 3D CAD modeling, revisions until every detail is right, and made-to-order production in recycled gold with an IGI-certified lab-grown diamond. Your ring is finished within a few weeks and shipped with free insured delivery. 60-day returns if anything isn't perfect.

Why Hoboken Couples Choose Us

Hoboken is one square mile with the density of a big city and the intimacy of a small town. You know the barista at your coffee shop, the owner of the bookstore, and the bartender at the corner spot who still calls you by name even though you have not been in since February. Washington Street has a mile of independent restaurants, and you have opinions about all of them. You chose the Hudson County side of the river because you wanted Manhattan access without Manhattan anonymity. A one-woman jewelry studio fits the scale of your life. Sue is the kind of small business owner you already support: sole proprietor, no sales staff, every piece made to order. When you text her a question about your ring three years from now, she will answer personally. In Hoboken, that is not exceptional. That is how things work.

Where to Propose Near Hoboken

Pier A at Hoboken's north waterfront, the narrow pier that extends into the Hudson with the full Lower Manhattan skyline in front of you. At sunset, the Freedom Tower catches light before anything else. Walk to the end of the pier. There are no benches and no guardrails and no one else. Sinatra Park at dusk, where the waterfront path curves south and the Empire State Building is centered between the buildings of Midtown, is the safer option. The park bench nearest the Sinatra statue faces east. The view is the same one Frank grew up with. Bring nothing but the ring.

"Unlike other places I visited, it was obvious that Sue really cared about finding what was best for us, and not just trying to sell us the most expensive ring possible. If you go with Haejin you absolutely will not regret it and you will receive something better than you ever could've imagined."

"She helped me create the ring of my dreams. Sue involved me in the whole process, so I got to see the stone in person before moving forward, and got a mockup of the design as it was being made. The result is unreal. Local, woman-owned, and realistic pricing...I can't say enough good things about Haejin Jewelry."

"She guided me, explained all the different options, we iterated together to find something which my partner would like and then she manufactured our dream ring for us. Sue is incredibly warm and kind and I can only recommend anyone to go to her. My fiancee immediately said yes and she thinks the ring is 'just perfect.'"
