Your Williamsburg Evening

You finished the tasting menu at Lilia, and Missy Robbins' cacio e pepe is still on your mind. You're walking down Bedford Ave, past the bookshop that stays open too late and the wine bar where the sommelier once talked you into a Jura you still think about. It's a Tuesday. The sidewalk is calm in a way that Bedford only gets midweek. You turn on Skillman and stop at a door with no sign on it. Your partner thinks you're going for a nightcap. You ring the bell. Sue opens the door to a table with three stones on black velvet. No salespeople. No cases of rings you'll never wear. Just conversation, and the sound of the L train rumbling underneath Metropolitan Ave. You've lived in this neighborhood long enough to know that the best places don't advertise. This is one of them.

Rings Our Williamsburg Clients Love

These are starting points. Every ring is built to order in our studio. Your stone, your metal, your size. Nothing is pulled from a case.

How to Design Your Engagement Ring Near Williamsburg

Whether you start online or visit us in person, every ring at Haejin Jewelry is made to order. There is no inventory to browse, no display case to lean over. You design something that exists nowhere else in the world. Here's how it works.

1. Explore

Start with our online Ring Builder to browse settings, shapes, and metals. Or use our Custom 3D Design tool to build something from scratch. You can also skip straight to a consultation if you'd rather talk it through in person.

2. Consult

Walk in or book a private appointment at our Williamsburg studio, 5 minutes from Williamsburg. Sue will sit with you, learn what you're drawn to, and guide you through diamonds, metals, and settings at your pace. Most visits are 30 to 45 minutes. No pressure, no upselling. Bring a mood board or bring nothing at all.

3. Create

Once you've chosen your design, we build it. For custom rings, that means 3D CAD modeling, revisions until every detail is right, and made-to-order production in recycled gold with an IGI-certified lab-grown diamond. Your ring is finished within a few weeks and shipped with free insured delivery. 60-day returns if anything isn't perfect.

Why Williamsburg Couples Choose Us

Williamsburg taught you to care about who made your coffee, who roasted it, where the beans came from. You read the label on your olive oil. You know your barber's first name. The same instinct that draws you to a winemaker doing single-vineyard naturals instead of supermarket Pinot is the instinct that brings you here. Sue Kim runs this studio the way your favorite neighborhood spots run theirs: small on purpose, personal by design, nothing mass-produced. Lab-grown diamonds and recycled gold aren't a marketing angle. They're the only version of this that makes sense to the people who live within walking distance.

Where to Propose Near Williamsburg

Domino Park at sunset, when the light turns the Manhattan skyline copper and the East River goes flat. Sit on the south end where the sugar refinery ruins frame the view. The crowd thins after 8 PM. The Williamsburg Bridge walkway at golden hour is the unsung option: you're suspended between two boroughs with the river below, and on a clear evening the light catches every cable. Walk from the Brooklyn side. The midpoint is where to stop.

"I had no idea what I wanted but Sue helped guide and educate me. She encouraged me to take my time in my decision as it was a big one! I didn't see the final creation until I was proposed to and I was blown away. Truly exactly what I wanted. I am so happy to support a small business in my neighborhood."

"Unlike other places I visited, it was obvious that Sue really cared about finding what was best for us, and not just trying to sell us the most expensive ring possible. If you go with Haejin you absolutely will not regret it and you will receive something better than you ever could've imagined."

"She helped me create the ring of my dreams. Sue involved me in the whole process, so I got to see the stone in person before moving forward, and got a mockup of the design as it was being made. The result is unreal. Local, woman-owned, and realistic pricing...I can't say enough good things about Haejin Jewelry."

"She guided me, explained all the different options, we iterated together to find something which my partner would like and then she manufactured our dream ring for us. Sue is incredibly warm and kind and I can only recommend anyone to go to her. My fiancee immediately said yes and she thinks the ring is 'just perfect.'"

Questions from Williamsburg Couples

Where exactly is Haejin Jewelry in Williamsburg?
We are on Skillman Avenue, a short walk from the Bedford Avenue L train stop. If you are coming by car, there is metered parking on Metropolitan Avenue and free street parking on the residential side streets nearby.
Can I just walk in or do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome during our open hours, but we recommend booking a time so Sue can give you her full attention. Appointments run about 45 minutes with no pressure.
What is the experience like at your Williamsburg studio?
It is a private, one-on-one consultation with Sue in a calm studio setting. There is no display case with 200 rings and no hovering salespeople. You will look at stones under a loupe, talk through what matters to you, and leave with a clear sense of your options and pricing.
Do Williamsburg residents get any local perks?
We are your neighborhood jeweler. Local clients can stop by for free ring cleaning anytime, and Sue handles all resizing and warranty work in-house. Being five minutes away makes the whole process easier.
Is there anything to do near the studio while my partner shops?
Plenty. Domino Park is a ten-minute walk along the waterfront, and the Williamsburg Cinemas on Grand Street are right around the corner. There are dozens of bars and restaurants on Bedford Avenue if you need to pass an hour.

Ready When You Are

No rush. No deposit. No commitment until you're sure. Just a conversation about what you're imagining, in a studio where nobody works on commission.

Most first visits are 30 to 45 minutes. Some couples bring mood boards. Some come with nothing but a budget and a feeling. Both are perfect.

Sue will walk you through diamonds, metals, and styles at your pace. You'll leave knowing exactly what you want and what it costs. Whether you come back is up to you.
