Your Space
Haejin Jewelry sits on a quiet block in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, one of the most LGBTQ-friendly neighborhoods in the country. When you walk in, it's just you and Sue Kim, the founder and designer. She'll ask what matters to you. She won't ask anything else. Every ring is made to order in recycled 14K or 18K gold, set with IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds. No pressure, no timeline, no judgment. Walk-ins are welcome. Private appointments are available.
How to Design Your Ring
Every ring at Haejin Jewelry is made to order. There is no inventory to browse, no display case to lean over. You design something that exists nowhere else in the world.
1. Explore
Start with our online Ring Builder to browse settings, shapes, and metals. Or visit the Custom Design page to begin something entirely your own.
2. Meet Sue
Walk in or book a private appointment at our Williamsburg studio. Sue sits with you, learns what matters to you, and walks you through diamonds, metals, and settings at your pace. No assumptions about who is buying or who is wearing. Just a conversation about what you want.
3. Create
Sue handles the design and production personally. 3D CAD modeling, revisions until every detail is right, and made-to-order production in recycled gold with an IGI-certified lab-grown diamond. Your ring is finished in 2 to 3 weeks.

This fall, Dancing With Her, the largest publication in the world for women who love women, is telling the story of what happens at my bench when a couple designs their rings together. No secret to keep. No script to follow. Two people, side by side, deciding what forever looks like.
I said yes to the feature for one reason. I trained on 47th Street for six years and I never once saw a ring ad that looked like the couples who sit across from me now. You deserve to see yourselves. Not in a stock photo with a rainbow filter. In real rings, on real hands, with real names if you want them.
Something changed in my studio this year. More and more of you are walking in together. Nobody is guessing at a ring size in secret. Nobody is being asked which one of you is the bride. You are building something as a pair from the very first conversation, and honestly, it has changed the way I think about what I do.

There are a lot of places to buy an engagement ring in New York. Department stores with fluorescent lighting. Chain jewelers where the salesperson works on commission and calls every couple bride and groom. Online retailers where you never see the ring until it arrives in a box. Haejin Jewelry is none of those things. We are a woman-owned studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. No gendered displays. No assumptions about who is buying for whom. Our founder, Sue Kim, trained on 47th Street and spent six years learning from the best diamantaires in the Diamond District before opening her own studio. She works directly with every client. There is no sales team, no call center, no script. When you email us, Sue responds. When you visit, Sue is the one sitting across from you with a loupe and a quiet room. Couples come to Haejin because they want someone who listens before she designs. Someone who will show them the diamond under a microscope before it is set. Someone who treats the ring as seriously as the moment it represents.
The Same Diamond. A Different Origin.
A lab-grown diamond is not a simulated diamond. It is a real diamond. Same carbon lattice, same Mohs 10 hardness, same fire under restaurant lighting. The only difference is origin. One came out of the earth. Yours was grown in a chamber that recreates the conditions 100 miles below the surface. Sue will show you the stone under a microscope before it is set. You will not be able to tell the difference. Neither will anyone else.
