Engagement Rings for Jewish Couples in Brooklyn
The engagement ring and the wedding band serve different purposes in Jewish life. The ring under the chuppah is simple by design. Plain gold, no stones, no distractions. It represents something whole and unbroken. The engagement ring is a separate tradition entirely, a personal expression of love that you get to design however you want.
Haejin Jewelry. A woman-owned studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Lab-grown diamonds, recycled gold, and a jeweler who knows the difference.
Why Haejin Jewelry
We Know the Traditions
Sue Kim understands the halachic requirements for the wedding band: plain gold, no stones, no engravings for the ceremony. She also knows that the engagement ring is your chance to choose something personal. Whether you want a classic solitaire or a custom design, she'll help you navigate both pieces with care.
Lab-Grown Diamonds, Ethical Values
Every diamond in our studio is lab-grown, IGI certified, and conflict-free. For couples who care about tikkun olam and ethical sourcing, lab-grown diamonds align with those values. Same brilliance, same durability, 40-60% less than mined stones.
In the Neighborhood
Our studio is in Williamsburg. You can walk here. No need to trek to the Diamond District or navigate a crowded showroom. It's a quiet, private space where you sit down with Sue and design your ring at your own pace.

What Our Clients Say
"Personal care from an expert jeweler. Sue reached out to me directly, helped me design the ring, helped me pick out a diamond, and negotiated on my behalf. I got a great deal for the size and quality of diamond and it's so beautiful. Honestly couldn't be happier."
"I had no idea what I wanted but Sue helped guide and educate me. She encouraged me to take my time in my decision as it was a big one! I didn't see the final creation until I was proposed to and I was blown away. Truly exactly what I wanted. I am so happy to support a small business in my neighborhood."
"Unlike other places I visited, it was obvious that Sue really cared about finding what was best for us, and not just trying to sell us the most expensive ring possible. If you go with Haejin you absolutely will not regret it and you will receive something better than you ever could've imagined."
"She helped me create the ring of my dreams. Sue involved me in the whole process, so I got to see the stone in person before moving forward, and got a mockup of the design as it was being made. The result is unreal. Local, woman-owned, and realistic pricing...I can't say enough good things about Haejin Jewelry."
"She guided me, explained all the different options, we iterated together to find something which my partner would like and then she manufactured our dream ring for us. Sue is incredibly warm and kind and I can only recommend anyone to go to her. My fiancee immediately said yes and she thinks the ring is 'just perfect.'"
"From the very beginning Sue made the entire experience feel so easy, thoughtful, and personal. She found the most incredible antique elongated cushion stone. Truly the ring I had been searching for my whole life, even in my dreams!! I truly cannot recommend Haejin enough."
